Grounded without gravity

My long time virtual pal, Sean, the force behind 13th Apostle (and few other equally incredible projects) is coming out with this beast in a couple months...an edition of 50 so pick it up fast! I've heard it, and it blew me away the amount of talent Sean has (not for the first time, fer sure)...sheer perfection! While yer at Crucial Blast, check out the rest of what's on the label and distro, they've been at it, as far as the more "extreme" music, for a long time, they don't fuck around.

In case you were wondering, this is what a I look like without my mask the one that most people see...without my makeup, so to speak. Had a blast with Brian at the end of last year in Washington and Oregon, made a shit year into a great one. Thanx B for letting me put my hair down, again, so to speak.

My mind is going slowly but surely, I may have posted this before and I don't really care. It's like I was telling my Granddaughter, I am Poppie and as a Grandfather, what I say pretty much goes. I never talked back to my grandma or grandpa, the threat was very real and there was some inherent respect. Anyway if you've seen this one, watch it the fuck again, because this may be one of the most amazing popular songs ever written and in my 45+ years of listening to it, this is the best performance I've run across..

I've been bombarded with "mentions" of this band and you know what, I gave them a listen and they fucking rock. Not sure, because how can a band like this, with this many views, be that on fire. Trying nail it down and there's sort of a reminder of how I felt the first time I heard Fear of God, with the unique vocal stylings. Speaking of Fear of God, I miss my one time virtual pal Erich, he must've gotten too much Mustard, but I do sincerely wish him nothing but happiness. Anyway, Gutalax is not the beast that was FoG....that's okay though, they rock. They made me realize what Elliott was talking about a few posts back, about the myriad of grindcore subgenres there are. These guys are apparently, "goregrind". It's all good because, it passes through your ears and into yer skull, and either satisfies the multitude of synapses in there or doesn't. Oh well if it doesn't, right? Reminds me of my 4th year Spanish teacher, Senor Laris, trying to get me to appreciate Spanish classical music. It took some time, but you. senor, were successful...

This was one of the films that he showed us (yeah we had film projectors with reels and whatnot, back in my day, ya damn whippersnappers). You want to watch somebody fucking shred, it doesn't get any better than this. Seriously, talk about someone who is verifiably at one with their instrument...I can't begin to describe it...

Bruce Lee knew better than I ever could, what I'm trying to get at.

15 million views and well worth it...haven't taken the time to explore this artist, but others certainly have....first impression...very cool!

Then we got something that has 73 thousand view but needs to have 15 million too. Can you wrap your head around how brilliant these 4 people are with their instruments? It's like they're all busy 100% doing their own thing but, if you close your eyes and listen (LOUD) though, it's a solid slab of granite that these folks craft...plate tectonics (look it up), there's a lot of forces at play here.

Miss my Moms something terrible, she kept me grounded. Keep your loved ones close because you'll never know how much they mean to you until they're gone...later y'all.

Pray!

"It's a good thing punk and metal found me before religion. Knowing how evangelical I am about the music I love." - Elliot 2024
"Amen, Brother!" - Macho Man Randy Savage RIP (11/15/52 - 05/20/11)

One of the first songs I remember hearing as a child, on the radio in my Mom's VW bug.

My dear friend who teaches English at a private high school, of the slightly whacko pseudo-Christian variety, is currently reading Animal Farm to the students. They watched the 50s animated flick too...I hope they get it or at least puts some question marks out floating around in their minds

I miss you Kim Solve (and Trine) we used to be pretty good virtual pals...unfortunately, but seriously, there is a such a thing as too much Mustard.

This is a caricature of me drinking an ice coffee, in a first world kind of way (looking like the Brawny guy, in case you you didn't know what the fuck I was talking about previously) and letting you know that there is no way to live life without suffering. How many times have I subjected myself to the slightly masochistic act of getting a tattoo (well, so I'll look cool of course)? My Granddaughter was going to Wichita with her Mom to pick up the other Granddaughter along with baby daddy and of course my Great grandson. I sent her a text....
"Travel safely, wear your seatbelt and don't stop to get any facial tattoos!"

1985 baby...that was a good year for old Mustard.

I'm trying to get Mr.P to pee on command...hahah!

For 37 years now my pal Sang has been enlightening me on some of the best music ever recorded. This particular band falls into that category for me, thanx bro! There is so much talent involved in what's going on with these gals, this is just a tiny sample. They've been around a while too...alas, my music radar is not what it used to be, Headed down a rabbit hole now, so...

Much love to all y'all...I guess.
