...ASSIDUITY...

"Cause he's my best friend
He's my pal
He's my homeboy
He's my rotten soldier
He's my sweet cheese
My good time boy"
-unknown author-

I knew I wanted to open this post, with this song, but I didn't know which version, just knew I wanted a live version. The Beatles of course wrote and recorded the original, but I don't think they were playing live anymore during this point in their existence....or were they...IDFK. The remaining two Beatles, in 2015 did the worst karaoke version you can possibly find...honest to the Gods, I could do better wasted (the only way I ever did karaoke). So went on a very brief pilgrimage to pay homage to what I felt was it's sentiment (or at least my version of the sentiment). It has been covered a lot by a variety of folks mostly playing their own karaoke versions that sadly are just weak imitations of the original. There were two close contenders vying for the honor of being posted here at RdM (hahah). Coming in a very close second was the first version I had ever heard, besides the Beatles one...Joe Cocker's performance at Woodstock, which makes it  emphatically clear that, from the way Joe looked at it, FUCK YEAH he gets by with a little help from his friends! Then again, the genius that was Mr. John Belushi did a cover of Joe's version on SNL that rivaled it (must be seen to be believed)...seriously, John Belushi was the flame that for a brief time that burned so brightly). The version that conveys what I'm feeling at the moment, in general, about my friends and more specifically, my best friend, Mr. Pickles is one by James Taylor. Moms was a huge fan of Mr. Taylor (that is reason enough, in itself) and I just love how he wraps the words into a warm heartfelt hug, one that you might reserve for only the dearest of friends...err, um...Mr. P!

Photo taken a couple nights ago by my Granddaughter Madeline. Mr Pickles on the lookout riding shotgun during a truck ride on the back roads of Wildhorse Township in NoWhere fucking Kansas!

Hands down, my favorite Napalm Death tune going back to 1988, when this album was released...third to last tune on side two of one of the greatest albums ever released. They've had a long history and still play to this day, although it's doubtful there's any original members in the band of today. If you want to get technical, they started in 81, with a song a compilation tape. I would say that '81 to sometime before the time Scum was released in '87, was a totally different band than the Grindcore Gods they were, for several years. In fact, there were no original band members left when Scum was recorded. The departure of Mick Harris (easily one of my favorite drummers), was huge for me and really the end of my listening to them, but I'm curious about the albums prior to Jesse Pintado's death. Anyway, behold, what I consider NDs finest moment in over 40 years existence (if in name only).

Hands down the best dog I've ever had at riding shotgun...I have future hopes and dreams with him...

Had this on VHS but the crackhead gal that I was hanging out with, around the time of the Twin Towers, named Victoria, stole it...long story...suffice it to say, it was at a serious low point, in the half century or so, that I've been one of the cannibals shuffling along on this decaying planet. I doubt she is even still alive, but if she happened to make it, I wish her only good will as she had a spark of inner beauty that was left, I saw it, even if it was so miniscule compared to the person she had become. In fact, now that I think about it, I feel guilt for having been the one that poked the beast in her by taking her to shoot heroin with me when she was already 2 months clean...hmmm.

Mentally Murdered, live as fuck!

A rare break from his duties on shotgun...

Fuck On The Beach is a band I've heard of, but never took the time to listen to...yeah one of those. How could you go wrong with a powerviolence band from Tokyo...well, you fiucking can't!?!? These guys did not disappoint after a lengthy trip down their YT rabbit hole. Live, studio, past, present, etc. it's all fucking good and you get some serious street cred for getting your vinyl start in 1998 on the almighty Slap A Ham Records. I have been on a Japanese hardcore-esque historical adventure for a while. My longtime virtual pal, Sean, former of the legendary blog, Damaging Noise, now doing the highly trafficked Selfish Few blog, has been posting some serious tunage in that Japanese vein. There is just something different about Japanese hardcore and when the later hardcore sub-genre, powerviolence thing kicked into gear, the Japan take on that was unique as well. Made a pretty damn good sampling of that 40+ year history on a comp CDr (which of course no one listens to anymore...do folks even buy CD players anymore). Here's the list of bands I put on the 80 minute comp...Aburadako, Acute, Bastard, Baws, Confuse, Crow, Crude, Deadless Muss, Death Side, Disclose, Envy, Fuck On The Beach, Gai, Gastunk, Gauze, Ghoul, G.I.S.M., Human Gas, Laughin' Nose, Lip Cream, M-78, Mobs, Nightmare, Outo, S.O.B., SS, The Clay, The Comes, The Execute, The Stalin, Think Again, Warhead, and Zouo.

Uh oh Mustard...I saw some shit!

Sayyadina! Ove Wiksten has to be the fastest drummer I have ever heard/seen...it's a real crime against humanity that he can longer play...a true otherworldly talent.

What's up Mustard?

Gonna finish this off by taking it down a notch, on a completely different plain...I don't trust a suit but I'll make an exception for the Dave Brubeck Quartet...

Crashed! Good night y'all...until next time...if there is.

Jive Turkey

The 70s were a very different time, and why not, that was 50 years ago now...the 20s were insanely different, 50 years earlier than that. So what's my point...IDFK...hahah. I do know that I've seen Snoop Dogg a couple of times live and his showmanship was extremely refined, excellent you might say...most live sets I've seen of rap are lacking something, nothing like the studio versions, but his shows are truly amazing. Anyway, though, Snoop did well, but Antonio Vargas was THE Huggy Bear.

Tripped out when the algorithm on the fucking Tube, brought this to me...thoughts? Oh yeah, if you want to know my take on it, still, 40+ years later...of course they fucking do!

Found this guy on the long ass driveway up to my domicile, and he was not doing too hot, couldn't fly and that is a death sentence for a bird out here. So, hit up Big Shawn, who has a Environmental and Conservation Science Phd and he said to find a wildlife rehab place nearby. Turns out, NoWhere Kansas, has one and turns out, as Shawn indicated, she might seem like a "cat lady". Got her number from a cousin of mine...hahah...and the lady asked me to meet her at the vet in the same town I work in, as she was bringing some other rehab animals. Long story short, the place was busy so I dropped the woodpecker with them when the cat lady/wildlife rehabber, there at the vet and found out later that the bird was injured too badly, so it was put down :(

Been into watching mostly live sets lately, but really couldn't find one I liked of the Napalm Death cover of this tune. which is spectacularly done in the way that only ND could do it. Of course we can get the Earache Records "Official Audio" version, and I hope the artists get a decent cut of these official releases that labels put out there. It did make me think of the tune by Anthrax, the UK one, called Capitalism is Cannibalism...

What a fucking set up, what a real mess
I can't make sense of it, it doesn't make sense

Raised from your cradle and teethed on possession
Then they reared you up on TV capitalism
Spit you out of school, get a nice job
You get turned on when you're on top

What a fucking set up, what a real mess
I can't make sense of it, it doesn't make sense

Worry about the profit margins, don't give a fuck about human beings
Filed away in your cabinets are equal people
Until you forget it, they make it
So you have to survive by producing crap
Can you call that life?
When the very same crap you have to buy back
Displayed it on the supermarket shelves
There's over a thousand varieties to damage your health

What a fucking set up, what a real mess
I can't make sense of it, it doesn't make sense

Inside the factory are wages for slavery
And every product at the end of the line
[?]
And every shit you flush away in your private bog
Is a product of another person's slog
There might be a title in front of your name
But everybody's shit still smells the same
You might also like
Violence Is Violence

What a fucking set up, what a real mess
I can't make sense of it, it doesn't make sense

Capitalism is cannibalism is
Capitalism is cannibalism is
Capitalism is cannibalism is
Capitalism is cannibalism

What a fucking set up, what a real mess
I can't make sense of it, it doesn't make sense

Indeed!

'86, I'm thinking, when my old pal Finn Petty, broke the mold when they made him, did this caricature of me.

This is from his The Rusty VW (check it out) collection of which he sent me a bunch of swag, a while ago and I geared up some of my homies...thanx again Finner! My answer to this wonderful statement, is, God I'm fucken trying...hahah...me and Mr. Pickles!

Love this band and have posted them before, but not this strange Covid-zero-audience set. The set is also odd if you watch the whole thing as there seems to be some tension with the band members (all two of them). The hits for me are at 08:15 Haunt You and 52:00 Yes I Know...

He looks sweet in this picture, but Mr Pickles is a demon dog, just like his namesake. Couldn't put a halter on him, because he tried to rip my hands apart, so I got him a nice collar a while back that was reflective. Dude only likes me, but he does have lines you do not cross for me even, like the halter or, god forbid, try to trim his nails. The wife of the veterinarian, the one who "accidentally" killed my donkey, Jet Li, she is also a vet and does really well with him, but has her troubles too. Half of it is the dramatic nature of a hound, the other half is either fear or just being a dick. I honestly don't know where I could have fucked up with raising him...it's like having a serial killer for a kid...still love them, but it's like wtf dude...hahah.

This tune, which takes me back to high school, as well, by way of my pal Match, goes out to him and my band chum, Brian, who mentioned them recently...put them on the map that is my brain again.

I hope all y'all feel the love...Eros, Agape, and/or Philos...some kind of love in your life. My youngest Granddaughter taught me how to do the heart hand sign thing...hahah

Cheers to whoever captured this set, what a solid piece of music history it is...and if you know anybody that is as cool this sax player, continue hanging out them, because you want that shit to rub off on you.

Travelling Song...

Just this vid, in this post, my 40th at RdM, and a few words about it...whelp, maybe a more than a few, cuz in real life I'm so self absorbed that it's almost like I enjoy it, but fuck it, right? I know, I know, I know...posted these folks many times, but having a particularly low moment, at the moment, as yesterday becomes today, burning a candle for Mom (who I never got to share Pentangle with, although she may have already been aware and if not, most certainly would have dug) and my ongoing poor choices in this "interesting" life 'o mine (boohoo, again, I know). If you haven't figured it out yet, especially y'all relics, I am a master of the runon sentence (often times made even longer with a parenthesis or three dots) and for that choice I'm not apologetic (comma...something). Something in my head, just now, told me to find something that will always make you happy, no matter what and make the conscious choice to share it here...on a personal mission from God (in the Blues Brothers sense of the phrase) and perhaps christen the new day. Everything about this video and song are absolutely, no bullshit, perfect, to the point of making it timeless (55 years ago, some genius decided to put these folks on a show and record it). Thank fucking God, humankind can do something right...right? Pause this vid at the 2:30 mark and the cool guy with the glasses on the far right of the screen is me, in my former life, going, holy shit, am I really witnessing this performance. This is absolute perfection in terms of 5 folks with so much talent individually that it oozes out of the floor, coming together to give you a song that is beyond compare. As always a sucker for the ladies, even though she is really on backing vocals on this tune, Jacqui McShee's voice is so maddeningly perfect, that it's the brightest star in the universe that is Bert Jansch's own vocals. Nobody is fucking around in this band, from Danny Thompson's impeccable warm heartbeat-like stand up bass, to the not as simple as it seems complexity of Terry Cox's drumming and finished off nicely with the most soulful of solos from John Renbourn! So, here I am tonight thinking, if you don't get on a different path, at some point, as far as the choices I'm making, may as well call it quits or masochistically revel in it. Life seems to be habitual, a string good and/or bad habitual acts. I told my Son, who is doing pretty damn well in his twenties, to keep riding that wave, cuz whatever you're doing is working well for you. He had a setback recently, but just hopped on another wave, ya know? Me learning from my boy (I hope) is posting this vid for all of you. End the night and start a new day with one fucking good God damn choice (as my Son would say), feel me? In this life I can not forget this performance and the joy it brings me!

Pass The Dutchie - Emily B with Dennis from Musical Youth (DJ STP Mix)

A little late on this one, but I was honored to be asked to write a little something by, a gal named Emily B, who is a music artist from Banbury, UK. The music world is a beautifully gigantic one, and in that vast ocean of wondrous creativity, I had not heard of Emily B or her work, but she is now heavily on my radar! On July 14th she released a massive cover of another massive cover, in the form of Pass The Dutchie, with none other than, Dennis Seaton from Musical Youth...they seriously nail the tune and the vibe it was most certainly meant to convey back in 1982. I got the email the day before it was released and was as pleased as I was when I was a kid and heard Musical Youth do it. Remember when the ice cream man used to drive around the streets of any city USA and every kid in the neighborhood would be booking it up to their Moms to get some change (my Mom already knew I was coming because she of course heard the music playing along with the whooping and hollering throughout the apartment complex). As I wrote to Emily B, "heartwarmingly nostalgic". MTV, in it's 80s form, played the heck out of this Musical Youth tune and I was stoked when it would come on, cuz the song and video are so uplifting and happy. So, anyway, here in what I consider to be dark times for the humanity and the planet, in my opinion, we get a respite, a moment of happy hopefulness...thank you Emily B and Dennis Seaton!

I asked Emily, what are the origins of this project, how did you hook up with Dennis Seaton?

"It was the universe working it’s magic! One evening, someone said something to me about passing something to the left and I started singing… ‘Pass the Dutchie on the left hand side!’ This track I hadn’t even thought about in many many years. Then the next day I received a message on Instagram (@iamemilymusic - come and say hi!) from a member of Dennis' team, named Aleslie Springer, requesting that Dennis had listened to my music and would like to work with me. I couldn’t believe it and thought it was a joke at first! But it wasn't and after a few conversations I suggested we do a fun drum and bass cover of 'Pass The Dutchie'. I thought Dennis would say NO because the poor guy has been singing it for 40 years and would probably be sick of it. But he says he isn't sick of it and he agreed to duet on the track with me! He came to my studio to film the music video and we were laughing all day! We got on very well and he was very down to earth and kind. It was such good fun! He told me stories from his past when we went to Michael Jackson's house and when he met other big celebrities."

I also asked her about the future...

My debut album will be released next year, 2024, which Dennis will be duetting on some of the tracks too. The album will be produced by Aleslie Springer. Also, I will be co-producing and Dennis will be co-producing some of the tracks. There will also be some live performances in the future too!

How about a little music history about the tune? From Wikipedia, "The song was the band's first release on a major label. Following a shouted intro taken from U Roy's "Rule the Nation" with words slightly altered, the track combined two songs: "Gimme the Music" by U Brown, and "Pass the Kouchie" by Mighty Diamonds..."

Again from Wikipedia, "Pass the Kouchie" was based upon a 1968 reggae instrumental piece called "Full Up" by Leroy Sibbles. When the song was released, it was condemned by the Prime Minister of Jamaica Edward Seaga for endorsing the use of illegal cannabis. The government of Jamaica subsequently banned it from being played on national radio as part of a drive against "kouchie culture". Despite this, the song was popular and became a top seller in Jamaican music shops and held that position for several weeks. The song was viewed as having established the Mighty Diamonds as being highly regarded in the reggae music scene. It also gained popularity internationally."

There were the naysayers about this lovely cover, as it replaced the weed (kouchie) with cooking pot (dutchie), thus watering down the intent of the Mighty Diamonds version...I beg to differ. I have a few thoughts on this. I've said this a million times over the 15+ years I've been sharing my personal take on music, there's nothing worse than a "Karaoke Cover"! By this, I mean that I don't want to hear your band play and sing a song exactly like the original...this ain't Bach or Mozart we're talking about here...catch my drift? These young English lads did a fantastic rendition of the song and truly made it their own, doing so well with it that I can't imagine that the Mighty Diamonds were displeased at all. To be honest with you, now that I think about it, Pass The Dutchie may have been my first exposure Jamaican styled music (rocksteady, ska, dub, dancehall, roots, etc.), or was it it the mighty Bob Marley...hmmm. Go back a post or two here at RdM and you'll see that their impact on me was eye opening, at the very least and 40 years later is still a big part of what spins on my turntable. Again, 40 years after the fact, Emily B and Dennis Seaton have made the song lovingly their own thing and I absolutely love it...dig it or don't.

ex nihilo nihil

Ever been there (and I don't mean when you were a toddler, but recently)? BTW Elliott, the animated gif I have shown is of a young girl who is crying, presumably because she is exhausted, but is fighting sleep. I cry because I'm always tired...not sleepy tired, just tired of being me and feeling helpless or perhaps not having the inner strength to change who I am.

What do you want? What do you want?
What do you want? What do you want?
What do you want? What do you want?
What do you want? What do you want?

I'm tired of adrenalin soaked fools,
Tired of idiots playing with the rules,
Know it's not a thing that a man would do,
But you get the same rush by jumping a bus queue.
Tired of bully boys looking for a fight,
I'm not a hard nut, so stuff it, right?
They really got you in a down trodden state,
Hopelessly, endlessly, heavily, totally straight.

What do you want? What do you want?
What do you want? What do you want?
What do you want? What do you want?
What do you want?

I'm tired of playing with vice,
Tired of hash heads trying to be nice.
Do you feel insulted when they pull out the dope?
Synthetic togetherness, token for a toke.
Do you get a buzz when you reminisce?
"Too much man, it was better than this,"
I don't want a relativity talk,
If that's the bus ride, I'd think I'd rather walk.

What do you want? What do you want?
What do you want? What do you want?
What do you want? What do you want?
What do you want? What do you want?
What do you want? What do you want?
What do you want? What do you want?
What do you want? What do you want?
What do you want?

I don't want it, you can take it back,
I don't want to face another attack,
Shits all running round looking for a crack,
Want another corpse to put on the stack?

What do you want? What do you want?
What do you want? What do you want?
What do you want? What do you want?
What do you want? What do you want?
What do you want? What do you want?
What do you want? What do you want?
WHAT DO YOU WANT? WHAT DO YOU WANT?

Can you find Mostaza...hahah? This was about the time that I acquired the nickname Mustard, because of the mustard and cheese sandwiches my Moms (at my request) made for me every day for lunch. This was also the year I first tried Mary Jane and also was exposed to punk rock. A lot going on for a 10 year old. Mrs. Shults read to the entire Narnia series to us that year and I would have to say was a big contributor to my early love of reading. I don't think she expected me to go on be the person I am today and everything in between, but I accept full responsibility for the 44 years since pic was taken. Old and beat down...is there any hope for Mostaza? If I make it to my Mom's age at death, that gives me another 14 years to get my shit together...hahah! I will figure it out, but my feeling at this point is that it will be the day before I croak. I am thankful that my son is on a righteous path at this point and hopeful that he will continue making good choices.

Hear ye, hear ye, hear ye!

My old site, the Mustard Relics blog, is now available to peruse...I had made it a private thing, an archive of sorts, but figured someone might get something out of it. 14 years of bullshit was a huge accomplishment for me. So anyway, check it out or don't...but this here blog, RdM, is the one I am at for the duration.

I've been digging on these guys since stumbling upon them several years ago. Went back to Mustard Relics and had found that I did indeed post about them/him almost 10 years ago...

"Dissecting Table is a relatively new discovery for me, sometime during my escapades educating myself in the general Industrial genre several months ago. Must’ve been one of the few blogs or forums specializing in Industrial music that I was following at the time. I made my Brother Sang a mixed CD of some of the music in that genre that I had run across, since he was the one who first exposed me to it, way back when. He responded by telling me that he really liked two songs of the 20 or so on the CD, one of those was by Dissecting Table. That song came off their/his first release, a 7″, from 1986. I had looked up the band/guy on Discogs, who describe the band as “the exclusive brainchild of Ichiro Tsuji, who is also the head of the UPD Organization label,” and that first 7″ is pretty pricey. I did discover that his 2nd 7″, released 11 years later (the guy has 5 pages worth of releases on Discogs), had a remix of that same tune and was much more affordable. Picked that bad boy up and was blown the fuck away. Having listened to a lot of his other stuff, this is some of his harshest, yet most cadenced compositions, he’s got quite the variety of sounds, tending more towards what some would define as noise. I prefer this brutal stuff, it’s akin to some of my favorite stuff in the genre, namely early SPK (the first several 7″s, side one of Auto Da Fe). Angry, desperate, Cookie Monster vocals (I have no idea what he's saying, and really even what language it’s in), backed by hyper electronic mayhem. It’s a non-stop assault."

What's so amazing about the above CD, is that it's all fucking live which is not an easy task with this variety of music. From beginning to end this thing is sheer tempoed mayhem and I really can't go on enough about the fact that this is fucking live! Totally reminiscent of late 70s/early 80s SPK and in my dear diary that kind of shit is at the top of the heap of humankind's aural creative output. The "hit" for me is at 51:16, Today Is Holiday.

On MR, this was the studio song off the 7" that I ripped and uploaded, called Why. Be warned, the strobe light type nature of this fan made vid may induce seizures and migraine headaches...but shit , the music itself is a catalyst in itself...and fucken eh, life can induce seizures and migraines. It's been 20 something years since I had a seizure (alcohol detox induced), but mine was in front of my Son's martial arts class when he was like 5, and of course some do-good-er called 911, so next thing I know I'm being carted away to the hospital. Need to ask my boy if he remember that wonderful event. So, anyway, like I said this is Dissecting Table doing Why!

14 tunes in 9 minutes and Stark Raving Mad do it in a way that not many can...as "they" say, often imitated but never duplicated...could go on and on about this band, but just give em a listen if you haven't or if you have, even.

Was joking around with my old pal Professor "Big" Shawn G. about time healing "all" wounds, the other day...hahah...unless you get an infection and die...metaphorically speaking. This pic was from my trip to see him up around Fargo, North Dakota in 2019.

Let's finish this meandering post with and interesting live ending. Unknown year or venue, must be early 80s, of the Beastie Boys, in their early days doing a Reagan Youth cover of the song (aptly titled), Reagan Youth.

Reagan Youth doing their thing in 1984 at the Olympic Auditorium!

A 3 minute vid about Reagan youth and more specifically the sad story of their singer Dave Insurgent.  According to the "comments" the portion about his death is incorrect in that after his friend was killed, his Mother was accidentally killed by his Father with their car a few days later and Dave killed himself a few days after that.

I'm guessing 1986 with my pal Anna at her place in Burbank. Lot's to say about this wonderful friend but maybe some other time. Later...

Irie Stylee

My eldest Granddaughter...love her to death, but damn she is even more clueless than I was at 18...I hope she has constant joy and does better than I've done at this life thing.

💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

In case anyone wonders what else El Señor Mostaza does with his time when he's not feverishly blogging...the simple answer, besides work and sleep, is absolutely nothing of any intrinsic value (unless getting stuck in your head counts for something). I do enjoy making MiX tapes to go on CDrs, so instead of the traditional 90 minutes cassette, you get an 80 minute CD...hahah. There is no point to it, other than to just listen to music, because there's nobody to give them to...nobody even has a CD player anymore, it's all virtual now. So, long story short, I think I'm going to share my latest one in the form of 80 minutes worth of the YT vids of the tunes on this particular one called Irie Stylee MiX. Some of the tunes here are quite obscure while others have millions of views. I doubt anyone will listen to all these tunes, but your only other option is to get something that plays CDrs and I will glad you send you one...or not...hahah! Additionally, I know that this genre in general is not favorable to many (insert your disdain here), but I tried to offer a very variable collection of tunes so perhaps you might find one that suits your fancy...I double dog dare you to give a few a spin...smoke it if you've got it (doubt any of these artists would object to that kind of undertaking)...

That was a bigger fruitless task than I thought it would be, and now rather than feeling a pleasant sense of completion, I am intensely depressed...hmmm...don't think I will do that again. Instead of leaving it at that I want to give a shout out to my loved ones, I hope you know who you are...if you don't feel the love, know that sometimes inaction indicates other problems and not the adoration that I truly feel

pe·jo·ra·tive - adj. - expressing contempt or disapproval

Just cuz I say someone's watching me doesn't mean there really isn't (I'm not too sure about that sentence, but wth...right). Have a feeling that I'm going to be all over the place with this post, much like my mind and apparently my soul as well...GONE..."gone daddy gone"

On and off in time I've beena Femmes listener, but like Soundgarden said, "looking California, but feeling Minnesota" these days. Feeling kind of lost in my world...

Perdido en Mi Mundo!

Love these two piece bands...not that I don't love bass guitars, because I will take just bass and drums (ala OM)...it' just the impressive nature of so much sound and creativity coming from just two folks. How about just one folk?

THE Graeme fucking Revell doing his thing, post SPK, with writing scores...dude is an absolute genius, although I couldn't get my Moms into modern classical music. Played her, by far, the most beautiful score for a movie that was never made, by SPK, Zamia Lehmanni Songs Of Byzantine Flowers...post NE/H/IL (RIP). Now when he was alive with SPK, they were a whole different ball of wax. True godfathers of the late 70s industrial scene...

This 7" which was their 2nd in 1979 was made in an edition of 150 and are highly sought after, but more importantly, the music created here is massive beyond anything that was done in 1979.  Hearing this in about 1987, my mind was fucking blown! These three compositions on this little here, very rare, piece of wax, are a game changer and a true experience to listen to too. When I ask folks out here in NoWhere Kansas what kind of music they listen to, as far as music, the answer I frequently get is, "I like most kinds." Most kinds, means nothing, most people don't know most anything...hahah. My first thought, is of this Blues Brothers scene...

You know I'm old when I have old thoughts. 1980 was a long time ago, a totally different age or chapter in my book. Going back a bit further...

I watched this movie in 1978 a million fucking times, to the point where I could recite the dialog and I'm certain that it warped my 9 year old mind...along with maybe early drug/alcohol use. It's been a ride and I can't thank my Moms and Guardian Angel enough for getting me to this point. Now fucking what...hahah...hahah!

I don't like the way I feel
tell me is this fucking real
I don't like the way I think
My mind is like the kitchen sink
I hate myself
I live a life of self abuse
I think its time I tied the noose
I don't got time to reconstruct
and I know I'm gonna self destruct
I hate myself
And when I die I'll go to hell
You know I'll like it very well
Lots of junkies just like me
We'll be screaming for eternity

vapid meaningless conversation...

Feeling a little nutty this semi-promising morning, with the aid of some early boasting on my Sunday, so bear with me. I call this screen capture I made, with a filter I threw on afterwards, of my Death Knight toon on WOW...Facing My Personal Demon(s). Makes a nice segue into this tune...

tried to find the lyrics with no luck and of course I sold the record (which I fucking loved btw), so can't check that :)

My long time virtual pal and a big inspiration for me getting into the world of music blogging...Herr Keller...once wrote that this was the only album that mattered from Septic Death (outta Boise fucking Idaho).

my truck sez a lot about me...we are pretty beat up...hahah

When I left the almighty Grout in '94 they immediately realized their full potential in '95 with this demo...

Got a few RdM stickers if anybody wants one...

Life,

Is nickel and diming me

To Death.

A piece here,

A piece there

Everywhere.

If I was Yakuza,

I wouldn't have any fingers left...

Just phantom pains!

And of course...

Vapid meaningless conversation.
