Had to redo this post...hit some button on accident and poof...fucken gone! Then, instead of hitting undo, I hit back and wasn't able to undo the error after that. Rule number one in this gorgeous computer world of ours has always been to save your work every once in a while...fuck! Fortunately, with treatment, I am able to ignore these kinds of temporary setbacks...yeah right....hahah. Anyway I was miraculously able to remember, at least, the photos and das musica I had up, but all the bullshit I had written is gone. Had a cigarette and thought about it, and decided what the fuck, may as well, give it go, again, but y'all missed out on some really deep shit :)
Had a big long thing written here, but suffice it to say I love this two song single, which is the only thing they ever released (that I know of). Flávia Ciampi has one of my favorite modern voices. It was nice of whoever runs their YT page to follow my YT page...thank you :)
Had a wonderful chat with my old pal and former bandmate, Brian, aka Senior Chief (ret.). I get so much out of chatting with him and really do appreciate a good chat, as some of you who have had the pleasure (hahah) of chatting with me may know. Topics included
yacht rock
KISS pinball machine
Hieronymus Bosch...
So here's my favorite of the ones I looked at, The Garden of Earthly Delights...Hell panel. Interestingly enough, I am sorta planning a trip to see my favorite living relative (next to my Son and Kailee), my Aunt Kim and her husband Mark, and there is a HB painting in Kansas City @ the Nelson Atkins Museum! The one above is at the Prado in Madrid, which is a place that has long been on my bucket list of places to go.
The Garden of Earthly Delights
Zamia Lehmanni (Songs of Byzantine Flowers)
I think I've mentioned this album more than any other in my 15+ years of music blogging and maybe haven't posted this tune before, but it fits the moment.
I am with my Son wherever he goes...in spirit at least...somewhere off the coast of Rhode Island (?)
Not a dud on this record!
"...and you can call me Dick"
I call these Black Hole Web Spiders. I know what he/she/it was thinking while I was taking the picture, because I'm psychic like that..."Ok pal, I'm trying to get some food together here, so fuck off!"
My longtime pal and former bandmate, Jeff (aka the Leftoverking) played this Shellac tune on his radio/streaming show last night, I Don't Fear Hell, and it hit the spot. Hadn't heard them in so long that I forgot how bitchin' they are.
Liam getting visited by one of my best friends in this godforsaken world. Even though we rarely communicate, she is still one of the finest human beings I've ever run across.
Have dug this tune for a quite a while and always just wrote it off as a Stooges style love song, but the reality is that it is just an elaborate 1969 booty call..hahah...Hello?
G'night y'all...
