It's the Brawny Man...Nope! Does anybody remember the Brawny Man?
Went down a long rabbit hole to fetch this one...fucking Nina Hagen and Dee Dee Ramone...you can't lose with that combo. They did a few things together, but this song tugged at my ears the hardest, like Mrs. Blocher in 2nd grade (she'd sneak up on you from behind and either give you a knuckle to the head or the infamous ear twist that would bring you to your feet). This was the best version I found on YT.
Speaking of making monsters for your friends, these are a couple of, as is, pics of the buggaloo my old pal Stovepipe F.J. Pette just gave me! Talk about the hugest of solids, eternal gratitude my friend. 19 fucking 69 baby, but still in the preliminary stages of where it's gonna end up. He built it a while ago and it was his daily driver in LA, then young Mr. Pette had it for a while as his first ride. He had a choice of keeping the '69 or getting the the '61 ragtop that his Dad is currently building....technically the right choice, but it means I get the 69 which is just super dee duper for old Mustard. Beefy motor and transmission, with soon to come dual carbs, clutch, windshield and perhaps even a different look, but that ain't necessary to get her back to home. My daily driver, unless it 4x4 truck weather. I know this may not make sense to many, but this was a life changing event for me...seriously...ripples in the pond. Spent a good portion of the good part of my life in a buggaloo. I will post pictures as we progress with it, but that's gonna a process that will take us into Autumn and with a small goal of beating the Winter, for the 6 hour drive to NoWhere Kansas.
One of the greatest bands to ever come out of the Bay Area. Mostaza is gonna be riding the flatlands...hahah!
Parts cost money, so I'm selling some records. I've been doing that for a while now to come up with a few bucks here and there to make ends meet, but I just listed a bunch more at my store. If you're looking to help Brother out and you have a turntable, there might be something that tickles your fancy. In most cases, if you look at the other listings for the same records, mine is the lowest priced. Check it...
This here is a pic of Mr. P hiding under my desk during a particularly nasty storm the other night...we both feel fear at times, but I find a little bit of solace that he comes to me in his time of need. Sleep well Brothers and Sisters.
