Wanderlust...

My pal Sean did me the honor of putting me on the thanx list!  If you remember the Martyred Heretics CDr I released several years ago, you would have heard some of Sean's other projects.  The word brutal is overused in a lot of the music I listen to, but if you want real brutality, this is the tape for you.  Limited to just 50 copies these newest compositions take the form of a very limited cassette that I have and you don't and probably won't, but you can find them and more details at Sean's essential blog, Selfish Few.  Below is the full cassette on fucking youtube...

My video at my home away from home.  My boy and his buddy (wish I remembered his name since it was his boat...thanx dude) and me looking like a fucking dork with the shit eating grin.

Translates to "I do not care" which is just perfect sometimes...

The whole band is spot on in this song, that's Joy Division though, but the drummer is absolutely amazing...

My partner in crime, riding shotgun "regally" as a friend of mine said of the picture.

My favorite video of a song being performed live...fly on the wall type shit!

A very interesting remix of one of my favorite Crass tunes...

If you look closely you can seem on stage, keeping other people off stage...this was an absolutely amazing show by one of the best of the best,

Humboldt artist Martin Wong (RIP) doing (did) some hardcore trippy shit...

Photo my none other than my old pal Jeong Sang Ho of his Son Brendon's first ever race at Laguna Seca...at 14 I was way too much of a chicken shit to get air like that!

Palace Eunuch

First post on the new blog (and getting to know blogger), thought I should identify myself in a semi anonymous way (hahahaha)...got the killer mask from my old college housemate Big Shawn.  I'm pretty sure I had the Rona that January before it hit the US in March...got terrible sick, with all the symptoms of what people were getting later.  Went to the walk in clinic and got tested for influenza A & B, both came up negative, so the doc gave me some pills and called it an unidentified virus.  Brutal bed ridden 5 days.  Since then I've been tested 6 times and never had it, but then again I'm vaxxed (the job gave me a 100 bucks incentive and I thought, shit, I've put worse stuff in my body and most of the time I had to buy it).  I don't know about other folks but I feel the effects of the Rona in my head...this fried brain of mine has a hard time dealing with everyday life anymore.  Just not fucking happy, anxious and agitated...it's the times we live in and the people we're surrounded by.  The energy is horrid, I can feel in the air and on my skin as it seeps through the pores and infects me.  Signs of decency are becoming rare.  There's a few good apples out there...I want to be a good apple too!  I reckon though I'm the kind of apple that is no longer fresh, more of a baking apple....hahahah.

Just read that, if humans killed each other at the same rate that we kill animals, then we would go extinct in 17 days.  It didn't mention a source for that information, but sounds about right...kill, eat, shit...it's what we do....fucking cannibals feeding off each other.

Couldn't find the lyrics to this online, but you get the point...nothing's cool.  When I saw Antiseen up in Humboldt during the late 80's (perhaps the very early 90's), I don't remember Jeff Clayton cutting himself up, "Vocalist Clayton began employing acts of self-mutilation, often cutting his face or arms with shards of broken glass or pounding his head with a microphone drawing blood and abrasions."

1987 screen capture of a very short video clip my bro Matcher sent me the other day...yours truly at 18 with my pal and friendly date for the evening at the prom, Laura. I remember being bummed that my friends in the other limo had coke and that's about it for memories of the evening...

Read somewhere that this album was recorded in 12 hours (confirmed on Wikipedia anyway), the band just playing their set and what a fucking set that was. My introduction to Sabbath was the album Paranoid (thanx Aunt Teresa), but damn this first album is earthshaking. Everyone knows one of my top drummers all time (Armando Acosta from Saint Vitus, Mitch Mitchel from the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Bob Kasitz from Lack of Interest) is Bill Ward...everything is absolutely perfect in this song, but focus on the drumming...damn!

Misty morning, clouds in the sky
Without warning, the wizard walks by
Casting his shadow, weaving his spell
Funny clothes, tinkling bell
Never talking
Just keeps walking
Spreading his magic
Evil power disappears
Demons worry when the wizard is near
He turns tears into joy
Everyone's happy when the wizard walks by
Never talking
Just keeps walking
Spreading his magic
Sun is shining, clouds have gone by
All the people give a happy sigh
He has passed by, giving his sign
Left all the people feeling so fine
Never talking
Just keeps walking
Spreading his magic.

These next two tunes are self explanatory....

Think I'll rap up this first post with a recording from the year I was born...fucking John Lee Hooker is one of the greatest musical artists who ever lived.
