This time around we've got a little something from the Sick Room Records pallet, in the form of a pretty interestingly soulful group of guys, Feddie T. and the People. Something a little different from my usual fare, which leans towards the angry and uptight, this is music to hang out and have a good time to. Their Bandcamp tags them as "r&b/soul rock & roll rhythm & blues Indiana"...works for me. Based on my own limited backround, the heavy use of horns makes me think of ska, but this has more of a 70's vibe ala Earth Wind & Fire without even a hint of disco though...this is more rocking. The horns are a big selling point for me, there's a latin vibe to them. The singer kinda reminds me of Brad Nowell of Sublime, their voices don't sound alike, just stylistically, but once again without the heavy use of reggae/ska themes. The band itself has no weakness unless you consider a soft spot for making you groove.
