My long time virtual pal, Panos, from Greece, sent me his latest work, a collaboration. It's been 9 years since the Martyred Heretics comp CDr was released, he was a big part of me doing that project and he has been sharing his projects with me ever since. I know he's been at it now, for at least 20 years and Pornostroika Dadaifi is alive and well today. I don't know a lick of Greek, although I desperately wanted to take classical Greek when I was in college, so I don't know what is being said/sang, but for me the "hit" on this particular release, is track 7, Olla Via feat.Pornostroika - Στη Γαλλία (Ρεμίξ AL-Leon).

Another one of those tunes played by a true master of the craft...moving mountains in the world that is my heart.

Whoever "she" may be in your life, there is, in fact only darkness when they are truly "away". In my current state, I counted that Mr Withers confirms this when he notes, starting at 0:54, "I KNOW", at least 24 times. This tunemust go out to DMD. On a side note, that band that's playing with Bill, is the fucking shizbot...I want to be wherever that drummer appears to be...grooving, ya know?

This amazing sounding, Iron Lung live set, was the most recent one I could find, a year old this month, goes out to my long time virtual pal and the only "follower" of the blog, Elliott. Dude, next time I'm in LA we gotta hook up, smoke a bowl (legally) and listen to some tunes in person...hahah!

Elliott mentioned the almighty, Iron Lung, in a comment and I got to thinking that I did indeed put them on the old blog, probably several times. This album was released almost 20 years ago, which sadly, got me thinking about what I have accomplished in that time. Getting off the hooch almost 18 years ago, would have to be the highlight and since then, I have been able to enjoy a lot of good times, with a lot of good folks, but damn, I am just not pleased at this moment (3:30 am), with the cumulative success I've had at this life thing since then. Anyway, digressing again...this is an absolutely, fucking beautiful lesson in what I would define as a musical onslaught...21 songs in a 18 minutes, but you have to think of it as an 18 minute song.

My main toon in World of Warcraft, named for the first of what I call, the Martyred Heretics, or the first person executed by the "church" for heresy. I have read some on the man and his teachings, which I don't necessarily agree with, but he was number one in a long line of death and destruction associated with the "Church" and, in my opinion, orthodoxy in general. "Devils, Demons, Death and Damnation" (book title). This here toon is an Undead Death Knight :)

This one goes out to my old homie and bandmate, Jefe...chloraseptic rock! Bone Awl are true master craftsman or apex predators in the world of raw lo-fi Black Metal. Another one of those two piece outfits that ranks up there with some of my faves (Simon and Garfunkel, Iron Lung, Molosser Crude, etc.)

This version of this song by this band was the reason for the title of the last post, but sorta made an error (loaded word) in not putting it into said post. Sinful, is what I am, and not just because I had a huge crush on Cindy Wilson in the early 80s. One of those bands that got huge there for a minute but not because of the very important fact that they were brilliant as individuals in what they contributed to the band as a whole
