Apartment 213 / Benümb - split 7"

Holy shit I love doing this.  No, not babbling on aimlessly hoping that people will stop by for a visit, but mixing a love of music, vinyl records, internet searches AND babbling on aimlessly.  Beats the shit out of where I was 6 or 7 years ago.  I should start every post with, "Dear diary..."

My wife doesn't want me to grow any kind of facial hair and I don't want her to cut her the hair on her head short, so it's a good vain trade off, but I wonder if without a mustache there will be no greatness in my life.  I think Mustard Relics may represent the pinnacle of my creative lifetime accomplishment...hmmm.  Good enough for me I suppose, there was a point where I hoped I wouldn't have to live another day.  What's greatness anyway?  Seems like a burden unless they award that distinction post mortem.  Mediocre is pretty okay, I was always an underachiever.  A "C" was a passing grade and a "B" was just like an "A".

Tried to get some of my mug shots a while back but San Diego County said I needed a subpoena. Was just kinda curious to see what I looked like.  Even after many years of getting away with it I realized that you've been incarcerated, it means that you have failed as a criminal.  A buddy directed towards some photos of people who just didn't know how to stop, interesting...check it.

Promised that I'd post something a little harder seeing as how I've turned into a kind of a softy.  Well this is smome mid 90's hard shit from both bands who blur the lines between power violence, hardcore and grindcore.  Not sure where it all fits in and I have a terrible time trying to categorize music unless it's blatantly obvious, but you definitely get an Infest vibe.  Apartment 213 are outta Cleveland and the name is in reference to where Jeffrey Dahmer lived and did some of his dirty work.  I've got a bunch of other stuff from these guys, most of it digital and most of it shows the bands obsession with serial killers.  Benümb, out of Oakland, I know nothing about except what I've read in writing this post.  Apt. 213's "Plotting a Murder" is my favorite just because there's so many changes within the song.  That's enough, kept my promise.
