This here is Tigger.
He enjoys just sitting there and staring at me
with those crazy eyes.
I feel like that in the world
where everyone is eyeballin' me.
Heaps of information provided at a glance
as we cross paths momentarily.
Move on about your business, man!
"they're all the same"
Don't think I've ever posted the Misfits on either blog.
I had several tapes, but this was the only actual vinyl I've ever had
(except some bootlegs).
Say whatever you want about Danzig
but these guys were some serious fucking hardcore
back in the day.
Favorite songs by the Misfits are Bullet and...
All Hell Breaks Loose
Walls start closing in around you
My twins of evil
They shake you by the collarbone
Then snap your rib cage
And broken bodies in a death rock dance hall
Please be my partner
Eyeballs pop, accelerated blood beat
Veins a-shaking
And all hell breaks loose
Yea, evil is as evil does and who
Yea, who but me could write this book of cruel
I send my murdergram
To all these monster kids
It comes right back to me and it's
Signed in there parents' blood
And all hell breaks loose
Yea, my heart is a-breaking loose
Yea, my whole world's breaking loose
Yea, and evil is as does and who
Yea, but who but me could write this book of cruel
I send my mudergram
To all these monster kids
It comes right back to me and it's
Signed in their parents blood
And broken bodies in a death rock dance hall
Please be my partner
And eyeballs pop, accelerated blood beat
Veins a-shaking
And all hell breaks loose
Yea, my heart is a-breaking loose
Yea, my whole world's breaking loose
Yea, evil is as evil does and who
Yea, but who but me could write this book of cruel
I said my whole world's breaking loose
Yea, my whole world's breaking loose
Yea, my whole world's breaking loose
Yea, my whole world's breaking
All hell breaks loose
There's something oddly attractive about Phyllis...hahah.
I've certainly been a weedhead and a tramp
among many other charming things in my life
(if you're gonna do something, do it well).
At my worst of times,
right before and after the new millennium,
for a couple months I "dated" this crackhead gal named Victoria.
She had the addiction thing going as bad as I did with the bottle,
but crackheads are sketchy fuck.
I doubt she's still alive,
although I hope she made it
because beyond the addiction and beneath the suffering
was a good heart.
Having a Booker moment...
I was over in Aberdeen
On my way to New Orlean
I was over in Aberdeen
On my way to New Orlean
Them Aberdeen women told me
Will buy my gasoline
Hey, two little women
That I ain't ever seen
They has two little women
That I ain't never seen
These two little women
Just from New Orlean
Ooh, sittin' down in Aberdeen
With New Orlean on my mind
I'm sittin' down in Aberdeen
With New Orlean on my mind
Well, I believe them Aberdeen women
Gonna make me lose my mind, yeah
Aber-deen is my home
But the mens don't want me around
Aberdeen is my home
But the men don't want me around
They know I will take these women
An take them outta town
Listen, you Aberdeen women
You know I ain't got no dime
Oh-oh listen you women
You know'd I ain't got no dime
They been had the po' boy
All up and down.
The BartBug!
The RugBug will be cooler
and I won't have to eyeball folks either...hahah.
You're either in the know or not when it comes to those kinds of things.
This one is for my pal Elliott,
who probably knows I've posted this one from Watchmaker before.
What would you call this niche in the music world,
other than just brutal as fuck?
Therapeutic Dirt Nap (another song of theirs from this album)
is one of the best song titles ever!
sPot!
This goes out to a pal of mine,
one of several, out there, in this wide world,
virtual and in person,
who know that old Mustard is a slow learner.
I'm still wondering when the wisdom of age kicks in...hahah!
Anyway...
Smiles and laughter to all y'all :)
I still regularly listen to The Misfits. Yeah Danzig might be an asshole, but so's Dave Mustaine. Hell it's depressing to see how many anarchopunk musicians are conspiracy theorists now. I guess you can distrust so much you end up believing anything. Great post as always!!
ReplyDeleteNice to see the "Age Verification" thing has been removed from the blog! Gotta rummage around in my boxes o' stuff to find my Misfits ticket stub. Can you believe they played the Sportsman's Lodge? That place was such a rickety hole but it got really huge acts playing there. Cheers, ...deutsche!
ReplyDeleteShout out to Elliott and D! Thanks gents for the words.
